Nigerian Siamese twin is 62

Mrs Wariboko Oki is Nigeria's first surviving Siamese twin. She is a true story of hope and life

Born on the 25th of July, 1953, Wariboko Davis was born to Veronica Davis. She and her Sister were co-joined at birth. Being separated from her twin sister with whom she was co-joined at six months of age, whom would have to thought that was the beginning of joy for her mother but her twin sister did not make it.

Wariboko Davis shared a liver with her twin sister and they were joined at the navel. Wait for this, Wariboko Davis did not have a navel. Veronica Davis, Wariboko's mum did not live to see her joy either. Wariboko had died during the birth of another child. One would have asked if she did not have a father but alas, the father died too. Wariboko grew up with foster parents, Mr & Mrs Jituboh who tuned out to be the most amazing parents ever.

Wariboko started her education at Queen Amina in Kaduna. A convent that was later renamed Our Lady of Apostles before going on to Lady's High School and ending it up at St Maria Goretti, Benin. Though Mr Jituboh died before she turned 18, the devastation she felt did not deter her from fulfilling her dream of becoming a Nurse. She would later loose two uncles and an aunty to the cold hands of death.

This is where things turned good for Wariboko. Wariboko would later be married to a graduate of the University of Ife, Walter Oki by name. A man she met after she had successfully graduated as a nurse.

Wariboko would later relocate to the United States, where she practiced. Though she live a rather tough life from birth, her life eventually radiated in glory and we can certainly say without a doubt that the end of a thing is better than the beginning thereof.

This is a life lesson for all. Keep hope alive. Mrs Wariboko Oki is 62 years of age and happy.
