My husband can't make love to me without watching a porn video - from a depressed wife

We talk a whole lot on the issues that befalls the matrimonial homes and other relationships, but we probably don't talk much about sexual problems in marital relationships.

I visited a family that are almost collapsing , and I was surprised what the cause of the problem is, something you probably never thought of....  "pornography" ... oooops, that sounds awky.



I'm not going to just talk about this based on marriages. I also use this medium to reach out to the younger ones for future sake.

There are many homes today where men don't find their spouse attractive, they treat them like an object for sexual satisfaction, and can not make love to the wife without an image or porn movie.
 
Now, let's get back to the story of my visit to a family. The woman allowed her husband to make love to her with pornorgraphy either on the internet or movie if not he can not touch her. This rubbish continued till the day her husband jokingly told her he'd love to have sex with her and her friend... Gushhh!  You just screamed crazy man huh?

Okay I want you to understand that psychologically the man has filled his brian with those images and can no longer bond with his spouse, according to results stated by Caron C. Andrew,  He also stated that porn wrecks your libido, it makes you not to care about what your spouse want because you see her as an object.

Sheila Wray Gregory ,also stated a fact,  that many people  are certain to have had sex but never experienced love making (FACT) ,. Exactly what my friend is going through today.

She said most times they only make love two or once in two months and this basically must go with a porn... Hmm,. not funny *straight face*

Just as Caron C. Andrew stated on the 4th point of his results where he said, a man might feel disconnected to his partner, that he may have to rely on remembering the pictures etc before he can feel his partner. Caron,  also made it clear that porn stunts the ability to have meaningful and satisfying real-life relationship , it stimulates the arousal center of your brain.

Porn is the reason why you no longer enjoy sex with your spouse

This family reminded me of a certain incident that happened few years back; when a married man died in a hotel on the process of having sex with two young ladies, this man has a wife,  what could have led him to having sex with two persons after leaving his wife at home. Stories that touches nothing except anger and pity.

Sheila Wray Gregory also mentioned that porn has turn making love into foreign concept.

To the younger ones out there who has turned to wrong living due to the use of internet. Be careful and watch what you do on the internet before it ruins everything about you.

It has been discovered that this act might lead to domestic violence,  rape and sexual Child Abuse.

How do you solve this:

*Communicate - when you observe things like this, don't wait till it gets to the point of " I want to have sex with you and your sister". Discuss it and proffer lasting solutions. If both of you need to see a counsellor/therapist, please do.

* Also discuss sex related matters with your children especially the teenagers and youths among them. It will help them start treading on the right path even when you are not there to watch.

*Be wise, be prayerful and be open to wise counsel.
