Day 9 #DealingwithHeartbreaks - What is your story? - RELATIONSHIP CAPSULES

Our stories are as different as our faces. Different paths, different experiences and different lessons.

My story is definitely different from yours and that's our unique stand.

It is not usually easy to share your stories because you think more about what people would say, their reaction, their perception towards you and so much more.

When I started sharing how I overcame addictions, I remember how much concern I had over how people will look at me. I thought so hard and kept ignoring the nudge in my heart to share but one day, I went beyond the odds and shared on how I had to battle with my mind to overcome lust and related. The beautiful thing about sharing my story was that, it connected me to people. I got the attention of some mentors and people who weren't sure of what I had to offer earlier.

You might think that your story is insignificant but in your sharing lies freedom for others. In my sharing, I have seen people dig out their past and go on a journey of letting go.

The encouragement I had from people who have had similar experiences and people who were inspired helped me to keep sharing.

When I first started sharing about my heartbreak, I felt that people would see me as a bad person who couldn't keep a man but I was wrong.

There is a time to share and a time to be silent, it depends on the leading you have. All I can say is that, accepting my story has brought me to a path that has made me a blessing to lives.

Your story is powerful and unique. It shows people what life truly is and how they can learn.

And the funny thing is that, we all have our special story.

Sometimes when you are able to overcome a challenge, heartbreak, addiction or more, you give others the psychological reasons needed to set their path right too.

As much as you have read people's stories that have helped you move on, you also need to share your story to people it can bless and help them break the barrier.

People need to know that they can overcome pornography, rape, sexual abuse, masturbation, poor background, limited privileges, marital abuse, unemployment, confusion, doubt, jealousy, heartbreak, pride and other vices. They need to know that their lives can be restored. That is why your stories are peculiar.

What I'm saying is that, you need to get to a stage where you understand that God is at work in your life and this is how He helped you overcome it all.

A lot of people are waiting for you to overcome your pain and give them strength to pursue and live.

Sharing your story like I do allows people the opportunity to say "Yeah, I have gone through that and I can overcome because you did".

Let people know they are not alone. I salute everyone out there who have shared their stories to encourage others.

Your story matters.
