How can I master my emotional territory? 

1. Discover what makes you angry 

2. Understand your “hot buttons 


3. Understand your emotional map (have a visual of your emotional journey) 

4. Have an awareness of the five universal emotions – anger, enjoyment, disgust, sadness, and fear.

5. Discover what triggers a given emotion in you.

Takeway: How well do you understand your own particular “hot buttons” – situations which trigger specific feelings? To be emotionally intelligent, we need to understand what our emotions look alike in action and what provokes each feeling (Daniel Goleman).
