Nothing is lost - Streams of Joy Devotional

“2. And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any… 3. ...their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.”
(1 Samuel 30: 2-3)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture mentions the fact that David’s wives and children were taken into captivity. None was slain, they didn’t die, but they were taken away from David. There was no death, but it seemed that there was a loss. Things changed position, David’s possessions went out of his hands.

David and his men went after the Amalekites and recovered his wives and children, as well as his possessions. The things that were taken away did not perish. Things shifted but nothing was finally lost. Whatever seemed lost was only lost for a while; there was restoration in a matter of time.

Friend, God says, things may shift but nothing will be lost. Things may get out of your control but nothing that belongs to you will perish. The things that God has given you may appear to be taken away from you sometimes, someone else may appear to take your place, things may shift in your health, marriage, family, finances, etc, but God says, nothing will be lost.

Your child’s destiny may have begun to move in the wrong direction, your career/business may be on a downward slide, things may have shifted in the wrong direction in your marriage, ministry, academics, etc, but God says, there shall be no loss.

Things may have gone out of position in your pursuit of your dreams and goals, but nothing will be lost. You may lose grip on your possessions and positions, but nothing will be lost.

Don’t lose hope when things get out of your control; you shall recover all. Take a look at everything in your life that has shifted grounds in the wrong direction, and declare that nothing will be lost.
Pray With Me: Lord, things may shift but nothing will be lost in my life, in Jesus’ name!

Have a great week ahead
