Goal Setting

Success can be defined as the progressive achievement of worthwhile goals. Therefore Setting & Hitting your goals is crucial to producing remarkable results.
“In 1948, a survey was carried out amongst the finalists at Yale University in the USA. Of all the graduating students, 3% of them had clear goals written down; 10% had vague ideas of what they wanted out of life, while the remaining 87% had no concrete plans whatsoever. 25years later (1973), it was discovered that the 3% who clear written goals, had achieved 50 – 100 times more of their plans than the 10% who did not write down their plans”

That is what happens when you set effective goals. Notice I said “effective goals”. The reason is because for your goals to lead to tangible results, they must be specifictime bound; and measurable. For example when you say “my goal for this year is to be successful in business”; that is not an effective goal. Instead you can say that “my goal for this year is to sell 200 cars by December; and to make a minimum profit of 1 million dollars”. When your goal is effective, it immediately inspires strategy – it gives you an idea of what you have to do to make it happen.

David Yongi Cho is the pastor of the largest church in the world. He tells whoever cares to listen that the secret to his success is prayer and goal setting. Every year, he sets a growth target for his church; and by hitting these targets, theirs has become the largest church in the world with about 1 million members, as at 2007.
Sometime around 1990, Jim Carrey wrote himself a cheque for $10 million and dated it November 1995. On the cheque he wrote this remark “for acting services rendered”; and he carried that cheque in his wallet since that time. By 1995, after a series of successful movies like “The Mask” & “Dumb & Dumber”, his asking price had risen to $20million per movie.

You can do the same thing with your business, your job, your academic pursuits, and even your marriage. What goal-setting does is to deploy all your tangible & intangible resources into turning your heart desires into tangible reality.
The world awaits your manifestation
