Easter fiesta

A boy once went to his father's farm, he saw something amazing.
Something he had never seen on the farm before. He had seen crops, leaves, trees, seeds and sands. All in green, brown and yellow. Never had he seen a red flower in his father's farm until this day.
In amazement,he played with the flower until it suddenly loosed it's roots from the ground and fell. He was disappointed and left.

Three days later,he returned to the farm with his father only to find the red little flower standing firm to its root,he was shocked but happy to find it so, because he thought the flower had died and will never rise again.

His father, surprised to see the flower at his farm for the first time also looked at his son, wondering why he rejoiced so much.

This is how Easter is to us Christians,Christ is like the red flower who died for our sake because of our negligence, naivety and carelessness.

We,like the boy, rejoiced at His resurrection, knowing how painful it was to loose him in our lives.

Often times, little wonder why we celebrate Easter. This season is when we accept Christ, knowing that we are but ashes without him.

A season when we know the true essence of love and sacrifice, the same reason he gave up his life for our sake. Easter holds a lot of purpose in our lives.

To some, this season means the death of failure and the resurrection of success.

To others, it is the death of an old self and the resurrection of a new being. Others say it is the beginning of new things to come.

But most importantly,a few believes it is the death of death itself and the resurrection of a new life in Christ.

Oh!,we never forget the holidays, the trips, the family get-togethers,the fun and the merriment we attach to it. It is a celebration indeed and we must treat it as such. However,it is paramount we remember that the need to love, sacrifice, care and share is Christ's priority and we must be like Christ.

Happy Easter.
