The Bread Seller turns a Model
Olajumoke used to be a bread seller until she walked into destiny
while going about her daily hustle. The 27-year old woman coincidentally
walked into TY Bello's photoshoot with Tinie Tempah on the streets of
Lagos. The picture turned out to be one of the most beautiful photos in
the shoot and that was it.
When
the images hit social media and the This day magazine, a lot of people
thought she was a model and started asking questions, TY Bello confirmed
she wasn't one but then the idea was born..If she looked like a model
in the picture, then she'll be good as one...So TY Bello organised a
search party and then she was found.
Jumoke was found and she narrated her journey to Lagos. Married with two kids, she was a trained hairdresser from Ire in Osun State, she couldn't afford the necessary "Freedom" ceremony so had to come to Lagos with her second child to give bread hawking a trial at the invitation of a distant relative who knew someone who had a bakery.
As a result of the attention she got from the This Day cover, Olajumoke is now close to starting an intership with Make Me Salon and has been offered an additional internship with Sari Signature a famous Lebanese owned Salon on the Island. She has also been offered a modelling contract, an accomodation, education as well as her child's.
LESSONS LEARNT.
-Keep doing what you're doing consistently and dilligently. What if she had decided not to hawk that day.
-Allow God use you to cause a change in someone's life. Do good always, it goes a long way.
